Features
Oversize printing
The extra-large flatbed enables us to print on rigid surfaces up to 3mx2.5m in size and up to 50mm thick, plus the roll media option allows us to print on roll media of any reasonable length with a maximum width of 2.2m. (For example a 60m banner). Media is held flat and stationary on the vacuum table during printing. The gantry contains a carriage that sweeps across the table as the gantry moves in steps along the length of the table to print an image on the media.
High quality resolution
The digital printer technology delivers near-photographic image quality for most applications.
White ink option
It has a white ink option that enables printing onto non-white material or objects, over-printing for backlit applications on transparent media and printing white as a spot colour.
Shape
The material needs to be capable of being laid flat but it can be cut to any shape or size after printing. (See our additional services).
Range of media
The flatbed inkjet printer is capable of printing on a wide variety of rigid and flexible media. We can print on irregular shaped objects or non-square media and materials that have an uneven surface.
Examples include (but are not limited to):
- acrylic
- wood
- plastic
- paper
- vinyl
- self-cling
- self-adhesive vinyl
- fabric
- textiles
- leather / PVC
- foam (eg Fomex)
- magnetic sheeting
- Contra Vision.
- MDF
Speed
It is simple to set up and prints rapidly. It’s a dual origin printer which means we can run one print job on the extra-large flatbed whilst setting up the next job at the other end of the flat bed. Vital if you need that job done quickly.
